TopKids Virginia Ave is a unique childcare centre located in Newton in central Auckland, close to the CBD. This convenient location makes it perfect for families working in the city. When your child enrolls with us, their journey begins with a well-developed transition programme which will make the settling in process easy and enjoyable for both you and your child. Relationships within TopKids Virginia derive from high levels of care and respect. You can expect genuine acceptance, respect and willingness to listen with you and your family’s partnership with us.

Our centre provides education and care for 3 months to 5 year olds and each age group have their own dedicated rooms which are well resourced and help create children’s sense of identity, well-being and belonging. In addition to this, we have a fantastic playground and outdoor area with a large sandpit, tracks and many obstacles to challenge, entice exploration and allow for magical play times.

Our infants and toddlers receive consistent primary care giving and teachers respond with care to each child’s changing needs and preferences. We are dedicated to working with parents and families to continue routines from home. Our teachers put a central focus on infants’ and toddlers’ developmental needs and interests.

Our pre-schoolers are encouraged to explore their interests. With our Be School Ready initiative, children are assisted with acquiring skills and knowledge they will need in the early years which help them at school. This includes independence, confidence, love of learning, problem solving and areas in literacy, numeracy and art.

To all the wonderful teachers, I can’t speak highly enough of the excellent education you have provided for my son. He is so confident with learning new things. He loves singing all the songs he has learnt at the centre and I enjoy him teaching me the songs and actions. He also likes story time and reading the story back to me.

Our daughter joined your centre just after she turned 4 and shortly after we have moved to New Zealand from Poland. It was a difficult time for us, being away from family and her beloved grandparents – we really wanted to find a place she would enjoy going to. The wonderful teachers at TopKids Virginia have by far exceeded our expectations. Each Monday was a highlight because she got to go back to school, to her friends and teachers, after terribly boring weekends with her parents:) It has been amazing to see how she has changed and developed over time. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to all the teachers for providing a pleasant environment full of joy for the little ones. Our daughter loves going everyday to explore and learn new things. The teachers are very loving and caring and communicate well with the parents regarding any specific need of the child and understand the child’s behavior. I was very much touched by the Mother’s Day gift idea of my daughter’s hand impression with a lovely note on it. It will be cherished for a life time. We are quite contented sending our child to this centre knowing that she will be able to explore her interests to the best of her ability.

My 5 month old son has recently joined TopKids Virginia. I have been made to feel so comfortable with leaving my little baby in Infant Island. Thank you TopKids for making this transition into daycare so smooth, we know our little boy will have a great time here.

Lovely bunch of staff that I trusted to look after my children. Always welcoming. It was sad when my eldest started school as I knew he would miss them all very much. My youngest is with the centre now and would miss going there when he goes to school. It puts my mind at ease knowing that my child is being looked after by people that I trust, whilst I have to go to work, I don’t have to worry about what is happening to them as they are in safe hands.

I just wanted to say that Sally who drives the participation van is a very good influence on the children who ride with her. She always wears a beautiful smile when greeting the kids. My daughter Joanna adores her, she gets excited when the horn goes off and tells us to hurry. Joanna constantly tells us that Sally has said and talked about something new each day. Sally has been doing more than just her job when she drives the children, she is an amazing influence. I look up to people who impart wisdom and she is one such person. I would like to thank Sally for not just keeping Joanna and the other 4-5 children safe but also teaching them new things and being ever so patient and kind.
