Our Early Learning Rooms
Our centre is divided into six different spaces, so we can support each child in their unique learning journey and cater to their care needs.
The Harakeke Room. This is a space for our babies. In the Harakeke Room, each of our infants has a teacher dedicated to their needs, whom they can develop a trusting relationship with. Teachers follow your baby's lead in their daily routine and provide a calm environment, allowing them to develop at their own pace. We make learning exciting, with a range of age appropriate learning opportunities for young babies.
The Kowhai Room. This is our space for the toddlers, who range in age from 18 months to 2.5 years. The team of teachers here are always prepared to take on the challenges the toddler age group presents them with, as their emerging physical skills put them at the height of their curiosity. Children will develop their co-ordination within a warm and responsive boundary of socially acceptable behaviour.
The Pohutukawa Room. This is for 2.8 to 3.5 year old's. Here the focus is on helping children explore and develop their understanding of the physical, social and natural world around them. A rich variety of resources are presented carefully to evoke curiosity and risk-taking, which will develop self-help and interpersonal skills.
The Kea Room. This is spacious with beautifully manicured playgrounds. Nature learning, shared learning, science and mathematics are a few specialties of this room. Kea Room caters for children from 3.6 to 4 years old. Creativity and celebrations are used to help children pursue their interests in meaningful ways
The Pukeko Room. This space has a very well managed set-up and caters to children from 3.5 to 4 years old. Here, the focus is social skills while working together on small projects.
The Tui Room. This has our oldest group of children from 4 to 5 years of age. There is a strong focus on developing self-help skills in the Tui Room. Literacy and mathematics are consistently supported through a wide variety of play and work-based learning experiences.
