EduKids Manukau, located on the corner of Puhinui and Great South Roads, offers a range of childcare options to meet your family’s needs. We are fortunate that we provide care for and work with families from a multicultural, diverse community.

Our programme is focused on nurturing children’s interests and extending their foundation skills to ensure they are ready for school.  Our multicultural staff are friendly, approachable and experienced teachers who  support each child’s learning and development. Centre One caters for children from 3 months to 5 years old and provides full day sessions from Monday to Friday.  Nutritious, freshly cooked meals are also provided. Our opening hours are 7am to 6pm.

Under 2’s:  We offer an unhurried curriculum for our busy babies where they have time to explore and discover at their own pace. We work with families to make the transition to centre life a smooth and happy time, creating a strong bond and a setting that feels like family. Along with respect, safety and love, we offer a nurturing place for your child to foster the daily development of infant minds and bodies.

Over 2’s:  Our mixed age room sees dedicated staff working in partnership with families and children to develop programmes to engage and support the development of every child. We pride ourselves on celebrating children’s milestones, learning journeys and cultural heritage. To extend and revisit our learning we have regular community contributions both in and out of the centre. This includes visits from our local librarian and emergency services people, rest home visits, participation in physical education programmes and parent evenings. We offer a Be School Ready programme that specialises in preparing children for school life and covers literacy skills, numeracy skills, understanding the world, creativity, arts and music, sharing and relating to others and physical and gross motor skills. We have received feedback from our families that this initiative ensures smoother transitions to school for our graduating preschoolers.

Centre Two is known as ‘Kindy Kids’ and caters for children from 2 years to 5 years. Our opening hours are 8am to 5pm and with the government’s 20 ECE hours we have sessions available that are free for 3-5 year olds.

We value children’s individuality and their different cultural backgrounds. We believe children are active learners that learn best through role modelling, investigation and observation. Our children experience indoor-outdoor flow in an unhurried environment which allows for deeper engagement and concentration. Children are given the freedom to participate in a programme that is safe and allows children to explore their different interests and challenge themselves. We also integrate numeracy and literacy skills through intentional teaching strategies to ensure children are well prepared for school. We feel parents play a vital role in the development of their child and welcome a collaborative partnership with all families.
