BestStart Rangiora (formerly ABC Rangiora) is a quality early learning centre offering the very best education and care for children in the heart of Rangiora. We have a wonderful teaching team, passionate about providing an exceptional education programme that nurtures and engages children from infancy right through to school age. Our centre has fantastic educational resources designed to support our children as they learn and develop. Our generous indoor and outdoor spaces provide ample opportunity for children to explore.

Come along to our Open Day, it's a great way to have fun with the whole family. Meet our wonderful staff, enjoy fun activities, a sausage sizzle, bouncy castle, and car boot sale.

Our relationships - We believe that to effectively guide children into school, both teachers and parents/whanau need to be active participants in the journey. Because of this, we offer an open door policy, where we welcome family contributions at any time. Close relationships and open communication with parents means children’s individual routines are easily catered for within our flexible programme.

We are committed to building strong relationships with our families and our local community in order to enhance your child’s learning experiences. We welcome parents and whanau to join us regularly and introduce the children to the wider world and community around them through regular excursions and in-house centre visits from educational programmes run by our local community.

Our learning spaces

Nursery - Our nursery team is passionate about providing a warm, nurturing and interesting environment for every child – we even have twinkling stars in our nursery sleep room!

Preschool - For the older children, we offer 20 hours free and we have a great programme that is very flexible where each child’s interests are supported and encouraged.  All activities are planned to suit each child’s individual needs and interests and these are used throughout our programming. Our routines are flexible, allowing the children to become completely engrossed in their play and learning. We offer an excellent, established transition to school Be School Ready initiative.

Healthy eating - We provide children with nutritious and delicious meals prepared fresh everyday by our very own centre cook. We have a Gold Healthy Heart Award!

Flexible hours - We offer morning, afternoon and full day sessions for all ages. This allows infants and toddlers the benefit of a programme that stimulates and encourages social, physical, emotional and intellectual development while not being away from home for too long. Children 3 years and over can get up to five free sessions (20 hours) every week.
