Welcome to BestStart Kaikorai Valley Road (formerly known as EduKids Kaikorai Valley), where children have the opportunity to have fun and learn alongside their friends. Our centre is fully equipped with the highest quality resources to inspire your child’s imagination and sense of adventure.

We have 3 separate rooms, where our skilled teaching team support and nurture the specific developmental needs of your children as the learn and grow. 

Our Pitau Room (Nursery) Our youngest children are given the time to develop and unfold at their own pace in our calm nursery which cares for children from 3 months to 2 years old. Children are surrounded with encouragement and develop an awareness of themselves and the world around them through our carefully designed programme. 

To best meet your family's needs, home routines such as feeding, bottles and sleeping times are carried through in your child's day with us. We're proud of the close relationships we have with our families and children. It means we know every child well and will encourage your child's interests, supporting them with experiences to further stimulate all areas of their development (cognitive, language, physical, social and emotional).

Our Koru Room (Preschool) caters for children between the ages of 2 to around 3.5 years. The teachers provide a programme uniquely suited to this busy, transitional time in children's development. Children will explore our wonderful environment with physical play, music and imaginative play. Children will have experience participating in all activities across the curriculum which is aimed specifically for this age. Teachers support children’s learning in an encouraging and loving way while developing children’s social competence, confidence and self esteem.

Our Puawai Room (Prep) is specifically aimed for children from around 3.5 to 5 years old. In this room, teachers continue to nurture and extend the skills the children have been developing and support their inquiring minds. Children have the opportunity to participate in all curriculum areas with the aim being to challenge and extend them. Teachers will provide both small and large group times and will encourage children in preparing and supporting them as they transition to school.

Our centre has a wonderful gym room in which children have the opportunity to participate in active play regardless of the weather.
