ABC Wigram

ABC Wigram is a specially designed childcare centre located near Hornby in the Wigram Skies subdivision providing quality early childhood education and child care. Our centre provides children with the opportunity to follow their own interests, be creative and to have fun. We appreciate the diversity that each child brings into our centre and ensure our programme supports the cultural beliefs of all our families.

Our learning rooms - We have 3 classrooms – nursery, preschool and prep room - allowing us to provide age-specific challenges and cater for more individualised learning and care programmes as children grow and develop.

Infants and toddlers are supported with familiar caregivers who know the children and their routine well. These teachers work in partnership with parents to ensure their individual routines and requirements are supported in familiar and caring approach. 

Our preschool room programme recognises the importance of fostering children’s natural ability to be inquisitive. Teachers fully support children to actively explore and learn. Our prep room teachers hold both primary and early childhood qualifications. We have found this to be a fantastic assist in supporting children with their preparation for school. We are in close proximity to local schools and go on regular excursions with our nearly five year olds to prepare them for school.

Our teaching team - We have a team of experienced and qualified teachers who are skilled at working along side your child to support and enhance their learning. Our teaching team is consistent and the staff turnover is low which means the teachers are familiar with the children and have a great rapport with children and families.

Our environment - There is a strong commitment to the ongoing development of the centre. Children are fortunate to experience a large outdoor environment. The space allows our teachers to ensure that children are regularly challenged physically and gain good control over their bodies. Our interchangeable outdoor equipment provides children with a variety and enables them to make decisions about their learning.

Flexible hours - We have a range of sessions available that provides families with flexible options to work around individual commitments and lifestyles.
